¡Flamenco!

Flamenco is Spain’s great folk music.
It began as a spontaneous outpouring by Spanish Gypsies (gitanos), who would break into unaccompanied song at taverns or around the campfire. The ultimate achievement for aficionados is an ecstatic state of transcendent emotion known as "duende."

My aim is to convey the edgy rhythms and heart-rending sadness, the fluid beauty, sense of a shared past and haze of sacramental wine, which swirl around the chimera called "flamenco"
